ST issue #5

I stopped pre-ordering this after issue 1 as I could tell it was just going to be modernized classic Star Trek reprints.

I was wrong however, as they are twisting the classic stories ever so slightly, like in this issue, having Spock and Uhura being confined to quarters 'jointly' plus other small items to fit into the new relaunch. It is a good thing, but not quite good enough as the writer in this series, or at least in the two issues I have read, has been ... not so great.

Of you like the classic Star Trek, then this is a good book for you as it is like the movie, a good re-imagining ... it is just not told too well.

Avatar mash-up is from Ross Pearsall... and of course those that own the original characters Smiley

I also stopped pre-ordering.  It's a fun book for nostalgia's sake.  I like seeing how they updated the old Charlie X story but had to cut somewhere and this was one of those.
