No BATWOMAN, Rodney?

Nope, not a fan of the art or the character.

I am stunned!  This is a great comic!

Okay ... now I know we all have different tastes in art and we should most certainly not enjoy everything that others enjoy, but I never thought I would hear that about Williams. I know we differ on the Leifeld thing, but this is a true surprise.

But, as they say, one mans treasure ...

As for not liking the character, I can totally understand as I am ... well ... not a huge fan of hers either (I want to know why no-one is connecting the chalk white skin that she has when not in Batwoman persona? Sure, Clark only has glasses to hide his identity, but something like that skin should bring a lot more people to make the connection she is Batwoman. I thought it was makeup, but then they show her out on the town and she still has white skin. I am like ... anyway...) The character is just okay with me, though I am interested in her past more than her present.

That not liking the art ... gonna take awhile for that to settle in.

Art-wise, Perry, what do you think of Savage Hawkman?

Not really a huge fan of Phillip Tan, so I went in with little expectations. Glad I did. The art seemed very muddled to me and the painted look makes it seem distorted. Panel layouts are bold, but tend to be more on the side of confusing than enjoyable.

I could have possibly hung on for a few more issues, but the art didn't do it for me like I had hoped and I really couldn't get over the little things that irked me. Like when the writer (Daniels) chose to light the Nth metal Hawk-Uniform on fire by soaking it with alcohol and shooting it with a gun  Roll Eyes That was one hot bullet I guess.

New Guardians didn't keep my interest.  I cut it from my pull list.

Sadly, I think I'm about to do the same. Bedard (My NEGATION writer) should have me as a reader, and yet ...
