Yeah, I have to cut my list down before I even see the remaining titles. No way I am getting another 21 comics off this incomplete list. Not doing it.

I read that Duane Swierczynski is writing this.  I LOVED his work on Cable.  Looks like I'll be picking this up!

Yes, that is the new and improved Harley Quinn.

Suicide Squad #1

"Harley Quinn! Deadshot! King Shark! They’re a team of death-row super villains recruited by the government to take on missions so dangerous – they’re sheer suicide! Who will be the first to crack under the pressure? Find out in SUICIDE SQUAD #1, written by Adam Glass (FLASHPOINT: LEGION OF DOOM) with art by Marco Rudy (THE SHIELD)."

Blue Beetle #1

It’s not easy being Jaime Reyes. He has to deal with high school, family and all the drama that comes with being a teenager. Also, he’s linked to a powerful scarab created by an alien race who seek to subjugate planets – or annihilate them. It’s up to one teen hero to turn this instrument of destruction into a force for good in BLUE BEETLE #1, written by Tony Bedard (GREEN LANTERN CORPS) and illustrated by Ig Guara (FLASHPOINT: GRODD OF WAR) and Ruy Jose.

I really don't know if I'm going to participate in reading any of these titles. It's like one giant company wide elseworld story. All I keep thinking is I'm going to save tons of money during this period of time. I still need more info to make an informed decision. A lot of the creative teams I'm unfamiliar with, and I'm not willing to take a chance.

To expand on Rodney's great list ... Here is a copy/paste from BLEEDING COOL that also has the creative teams of each book (And which ones I will be giving a shot) -

    1. Justice League #1 by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee -
Yes, I will be getting this.

    2. Justice League International #1 by Dan Jurgens and Aaron Lopresti -
Lopresti and Jurgens? well, sure, I'm there

    3. Teen Titans #1 by  Scott Lobdell, Brett Booth and Norm Rapmund -
Really on the fence with this one. Creative team is ... okay ... but that line up? Not sure.

    4. Suicide Squad #1 by Adam Glass and Marco Rudy -
May be a last minute buy, but I doubt it.

    5. Action Comics #1 by Grant Morrison and Rags Morales -
Hate Superman. Morrison is really on or really off. Not for me.

    6. Superman #1 by George Pérez -
Hate Superman, love Perez ... hate that Perez can't get comics out in time (not his fault). 'First issue only' buy?

    7. Superboy #1 by Scott Lobdell and… -
No.

    8. Supergirl #1 by Michael Green, Mike Johnson and Mahmud A. Asrar -
Don't mind Supergirl, don't know these people. No

    9. Batman #1 by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo -
Capullo? Batman? Yes, yes and yes. Faster than you can say Bat-Nipples

    10. Detective Comics #1 by Tony Daniel
Wasn't extremely happy with the choice, but I will try for a couple issues.

    11. Batman: The Dark Knight #1 by David Finch -
Not getting. Really enjoy Finch's art, but his writing is ... 'eh'

    12. Batgirl #1 by Gail Simone, Ardian Syaf and Vicente Cifuentes -
Yeppers. Babs Gordon swinging again.

    13. Batwoman #1 by J.H. Williams III, Haden Blackman and Amy Reeder -
Still haven't decided. This is going to be one of those consistently late books, though should be good for 6 months.

    14. Catwoman #1 by Judd Winick and Guillem March -
Not sure ... probably not

    15. Red Hood And The Outlaws #1 by Scott Lobdell and Kenneth Rocafort -
Again, not sure. Probably not

    16. Batwing #1 by Judd Winick and Ben Oliver -
Not if you paid me.

    17. Nightwing #1 by Kyle Higgins and Eddy Barrows -
Yes

    18. Batman And Robin #1 by Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason -
No. I hate Damien and Gleason is one of those artists that misses me.

    19. Birds Of Prey #1 by Duane Swierczynski and Jesus Saiz -
Crap. Like Swiz but not sure of this line-up. I may jump on it.

    20. Green Lantern #1 by Geoff Johns, Doug Mahnke and Christian Alamy -
Yes please.

    21. Green Lantern Corps #1 by Peter J. Tomasi, Fernando Pasarin and Scott Hanna -
Not sold yet. Last minute buy?

    22. Green Lanterns: New Guardians #1 by Tony Bedard, Tyler Kirkham and Batt -
Really like Bedard but is it enough to give this a try? Probably.

    23. Red Lanterns #1 by Peter Milligan, Ed Benes and Rob Hunter.
Space vigilantism. Kinda want. but Milligan? scary. Not sure.

    24. Aquaman #1 by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis -
Another Johns title? But of course it is a yes.

    25. Wonder Woman #1 by Brian Azzarello #1 and Cliff Chiang -
One of Glenn's favorite writers  Wink. Yeah, I will try the newest tame on the Amazon.

    26. Flash #1 by Brian Buccellato and Francis Manapul (writers) -
Honestly depends on how I feel towards the end of FLASHPOINT.

    27. Green Arrow #1 by JT Krul and Dan Jurgens -
Want it for the Jurgens art (so underrated to me) but Krul is not a writer I usually enjoy. 20% chance

    28. DC Universe Presents #1 by Paul Jenkins and Bernard Chang -
YES !!! Love anthology books. Trick is to not read them for about 4 months and then "POW" read in one sitting.

    29. Savage Hawkman #1 by Tony Daniel and Philip Tan -
Sooo want, just for the character. DAMN YOU JIMMY T.  Grin May have to

    30. Blue Beetle #1 by Tony Bedard and Ig Guara -
This sucks. Bedard on a title I care nothing ... NOTHING about. Sadly, a pass.

    31. Fury Of Firestorm #1 by Gail Simone, Ethan Van Sciver and Yildiray Cinar -
Like Gail, like old Firestorm, not a fan of the new but Gail may draw me in. Not sure.

    32. Mr Terrific #1 by Eric Wallace and Roger Robinson -
Really? I guess you gotta start sometime. Won't be buying, but glad smaller characters are getting a shot

    33. Captain Atom #1 by JT Krul and Freddie Williams II -
No. For the character and the writer. Both are just okay. If I wasn't buying way too many already, then maybe.

    34. OMAC #1 by Dan DiDio, Keith Giffen and Scott Koblish -
Gonna miss seeing some cool Giffen art, but I can't take the DiDio.

    35. Static Shock #1 by Felicia Henderson, John Rozum, Scott McDaniel and Jonathan Glapion -
No.

    36. Hawk And Dove #1 by Sterling Gates and Rob Liefeld -
Liked Gates on Supergirl and would buy if it wasn't for it having the LAZIEST ARTIST IN ALL OF COMICS.

    37. Deathstroke #1 by Kyle Higgins, Joe Bennett and Art Thibert -
Me no likey Bennet art, me no know Higgins writing but me do likey the Slade. Gonna resist ... I think

    38. Legion of Superheroes by Paul Levitz and Francis Portela -
If I get this, and I want to, I fear I may have to get the other title as well. That scare me. Not sure

    39. Legion Lost #1 by Fabian Nicieza and Pete Woods -
Like me some Nicieza, but hate the look of Wildfire on this. Just can't do it.

    40. Grifter #1 by Nathan Edmondson, CAFU and BIT -
Honestly have not looked into this one yet. I like the character, but need to research this one. No idea

    41. Voodoo #1 by Ron Marz and Sami Basri -
Another Wildcat'er and by Marz. Gotta give it a go

    42. Stormwatch #1 by Paul Cornell and Miguel Sepulveda -
Probable

    43. Animal Man #1 by Jeff Lemire, Travel Foreman and Dan Green -
Like the concept. Perhaps

    44. Swamp Thing #1 by Scott Snyder and Yanick Paquette -
Well sure.

    45. Justice League Dark #1 by Peter Milligan and Mikel Janin -
Milligan ... no

    46. Demon Knights #1 by Paul Cornell, Diogenes Neves and Oclair Albert -
Very interested. Highly probable

    47. Frankenstein: Agent Of SHADE #1 by Jeff Lemire and Alberto Ponticelli -
Same as above

    48. Resurrection Man #1 by Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning and Fernando Dagnino -
Hells to the yeah

    49. I, Vampire #1 by Josh Fialkov and Andrea Sorrentino -
No. Maybe... not sure

    50. Blackhawks #1 by Mike Costa and Ken Lashley -
First I've heard. very much want to want it
(EDIT - Nope. Not for me.)

    51. Sgt Rock And The Men Of War #1 by Ivan Brandon and Tom Derenick -
First I have heard of this as well. If it is WWII/Nam/or older war stories, then "yes". If it is updated war, then "no"
(EDIT - Also not for me)

    52. All-Star Western #1 by Jimmy Palmiotti, Justin Grey and Meridat. Vigilante by Darwyn Cooke in the back? -
Another first I have heard. probable.

Wow, that looks to be a little more than I wanted to get. At least 18 if the last ones pan out to be what I think they are, plus an additional 10 or so 'Maybe's.

What really scares me ... some of the creators on these books... who are they? I mean there is a lot of people I don't know ... at all. This is good, in a way, because I want to 'see' what they do with characters I am interested in, or at least somewhat interested in, but it also scares me away from the the characters I want to know better.

Seriously,

None of this is grabbing me. And I love DC. The constant re-inventing is bugging me to no end. They have the multiverse, so there is no need to totally revamp the entire DCU. I am very disappointed in the Wonder Woman costume change. Put her in anything but the classic, and she looks like any other female comic book character. We all KNOW when DC says some characters will have major changes while others will have minor tweaks-- that ALWAYS means Wonder Woman will be completely re-done with lil to no respect for her past as the first lady of comics. The preview synopsis of Teen Titans says Wonder Girl is a known thief. Cyborge replacing Martian Manhunter. Will this all change again in a few months or a year?

In my opinion, if the creaters behind these books think their new ideas/concepts/character takes are so well and burning to see print-- then create all new characters with new names. Stop selling me the "new idea" while trading on the history of the names you have elected to drop.

In the end, I will try some to see what this is about, but I have a bad feeling that the DCU may not be the place for me by Fall. That saddens me.
