Recent purchase

I haven't been a fan of the Motor City Comic Con for a few years now. Their insistance on focusing on media guests as opposed to getting bigger name comic book guests has been very frustrating. So frustrating, in fact, that I haven't paid to go to a Con in the last 4 years because a friend of mine (who creates her own web comic), would always get a table at the show and I would end up being her guest-pass.

Well, this year, the cost of doing the con was just too high and so my friend didn't get a table this year. That meant I had to actually pay to get in.

And let me tell you... $25 for just ONE DAY is freakin' insane!

But... at least I picked up Vol. 1 & Vol 2 of the X-men Omnibus for $50 each! 1/2 off the cover price!!!! Yes.

So the show was weak but I got cool stuff. Man I love those old comics.
