Any ideas who the new Venom is going to be...lets here some guesses.

helpful article: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=29972

Judging from the info revealed so far, this new military-sanctioned Venom is an existing Spider-man character.

I feel this is pretty obvious and down to two possibilities in my eyes

it will be:
Flash Thompson
or
John Jameson

what do your think?  good idea/bad idea?  just dont care Smiley

I like your thought on it being Flash Thompson.

After all, both companies can't hold back from taking supporting cast and making them villains/heroes. It's annoying, but oh so true. AND it would give Flash a chance to *ahem* get back on his feet.

 Cheesy

I thought the same thing too.  It would be interesting to see how Flash would develop here.  The ASM story where he lost those appendages was one of my favorites.

Loved Venom ... and then Marvel pimped him until I loathed him.

Never going back.

That is my current feeling with Deadpool.

this is a nice change to the dynamic and very different from every other take on Venom...give it a byrne steal at your LCS or online...it was a good read and I'm interested in how this proceeds.  Rick Remender has a great hook on this and Tony Moores art is great.  This is not your old school Venom...no Brock, no Gargan.  venom current owner is  stable and relatively in control of the suit, just like when spidey when he 1st had it (ie: no slobbering tongue and brain eating).  it is a struggle to maintain but thats where the fun is.

So who did it wind up being?  Flash?

Yes indeed.  the rules of the game is that he can only wear the suit for a short period of time (48hrs) or it will bond permanently he can only go on 20 missions before the suit is passed to the next soldier.  My guess is it's not going to be that easy for good old Flash
