Bart Sears:  I remember really digging his stylistic work on The Path--a Samauri/feudal Asia book.  Was real nice work.  That's the last time I saw his work.  I also remember seeing his drawing lessons in Wizard!  Here's a site I found for him:  http://bartsearsart.com/

WHT...D.G. Chicester and Len Kaminski?  I remember their 1990s runs on, respectively, Daredevil and Morbius.  Really enjoyed each writer and haven't heard about them since then...

Good call...I know we are pretty much alone but I did enjoy Chicester's Daredevil, armor and all. Len also had a great run on IronMan and if memory serves he also created WarMachine.

What ever happened to artist Bart Sears?  I have fond memories of his work on Valiant's XO Manowar.

Last I saw of Bart was a not so flattering run on "CapAmerica & Falcon" I remember finding it a real disappointment as I really liked his past work.  same thing goes for Brett Booth...loved his early stuff on Blacklash but his work hasn't grown much and seems a bit flat.

Yeah, I remember those "Brute & Babe" how-to-draw lessons back in the old Wizard mags.....

Robert Wienberg...great run on Cable

Amen to that. Was always disappointed he got shafted by Marvel at the end of his Cable run.

Speaking of, WHT Ian Churchill? He worked on Cable in the early 20's of his first solo title. Always ranked him as one of my favourite X Artists.

Kieron Dwyer: did a lot of Avengers in the 90s, some misc X-books, I think and that's all I recall. Is he still creating? I dug his work. Had a nice, loose, sorta-reminded-me-of-Eisner look to his art.

Really liked his solo Cap run as well.  Amazing, amazing stuff.  When I think of Captain America I either picture his work or Ron Lim's.

Also, I really liked his indy one-shot Last of the Independents, written by Matt Fraction.  And Blackheart Billy, written by Rick Remender

According to his web site he's done some work on the movie Sky High (2005) and not many comic these days so maybe he's mostly doing movie stuff now?

What about writer Troy Hickman?

He had that Dark Horse book called Common Grounds which was a critical hit.  Plus he had his own board here on Hero Realm for a few months, maybe a year.

Common Grounds was a lot of fun.  He definitely should write more often.

Turns out he won Top Cow's "Pilot Season" and has this four-parter out now:

Ask and you shall receive.  from CBR:
http://robot6.comicbookresources.com/2011/08/artist-brandon-peterson-working-on-interior-art-for-x-men-project/
After years of only producing covers and pin-ups for Marvel and other publishers, long-time comics artist Brandon Peterson announced on his website that he’s just initiated work on a new series he is penciling. Although no specific title has been announced, Peterson says on his blog he’s working on something “for the X-Men books” and drawing interiors. Those could be one and the same, or two separate projects.

Peterson came to prominence in the early nineties through his work at Marvel and DC, and really struck it big when Marc Silvestri tapped him to be the artist of the CyberForce spin-off series Codename: StrykeForce. He continued working at Top Cow for several years, producing his own creator-owned series Arcanum. In 1999 he left to become a freelancer, but was quickly snapped up by the then-new comics company CrossGen as its art director. Peterson penciled a variety of work including Mystic and the under-rated Chimera series. After the collapse of CrossGen, Peterson was one of a host of artist Marvel snapped up, and Peterson ended up drawing Ultimate X-Men, Ultimate Vision and Doctor Strange revamp (simply called Strange) before switching up to being a cover artist.

For those looking for new Peterson art, Peterson recently released a 2011 edition of his artbook series Illuminations which you order online at Stuart Ng Books and Bud Plant Books, or get it at one of Peterson’s frequent con stops.

Thanks Wringer....Brando on an X-Men related jaunt just might be the catalyst that gets me back into reading the X-books regularly.
