Title: DC writer went too far
Post by: Perry on December 27, 2013, 10:57:54 PM
Click link for a story involving a prominent DC writer ... HERE (http://www.xojane.com/it-happened-to-me/marinaomi-harassed-comics-panel)

I know who it is and he has since apologized, but wow ... dude ... even I know when to call it quits, and I am an admitted ass.

Scott Lobdell is an asshat.....i've met him a couple of times in person at signings, and he's pretty obnoxious and annoying....Looks like my assumptions about his character were correct.

His attempt at an apology was a big FAIL.....

I pretty much avoid anything he is attached to.....same as Brian Assarello for the same exact reasons. ::)

What gets me is the husband. I know the wife stated she didn't need/want her husband to save/rescue her, but if that was my wife and someone that I didn't know (wasn't a close friend) was talking that shit to her, I would have casually stood up, walked to the stage and started pounding his ass into pulp fiction.

How the husband just sat there for this I will never know.

If her account of the situation is 100% correct I'm mostly amazed that this "DB" went racist at the end.  Like, "Hmm, the sexual stuff isn't winning her over.  Only the uniting element of racist humor can save this awkwardness!"

Good question.

Probably didn't want to dip his toe into her world in fear of messing up her career.  Or maybe he thought they knew each other and they were just goofing around.  Not realizing what really happened till after the con.  Of course, I'm guessing, I know neither person.
