Did anyone else go and see it? I thought the movie rocked! What do you think?

I stopped watching the movies after the 2nd one; this was one of those cases where I could not get out of the 'book is better' mindsets.

That said, I do sort of want to see HP7.

I was honestly bored to tears. Couldn't wait to leave. Knew I should have just waited for the climatic conclusion next year!

I thought this one was pretty true to the book and a lot of harry potter fans were happy to BatgirlLibrarian. To Jimmy T what bored you so much?

It's interesting to look back and see how much the tone of the movies have evolved.

Yes and how much they've grown over time. I grew up with them and It's funny to realize the changes in them and myself.

To be honest, I didn't enjoy the first half of the novel either.

This suffered from Two Towers syndrome in that nothing gets accomplished. On the lamb, hiding out, getting frustrated and angry does not make for driving, powerful cinema. And let's face it; none of the principle 3 are ever going to win an Oscar for their work here.

I knew that was what this movie would be, I expected it, but I hoped they would find a way to better drive the early, boring part of the book. And they didn't, in my eyes.

I get what you're saying. How awkward did you the horcrux scene?
