Ok, I'll probably get destroyed, as this is my first year playing fantasy football, but I'm in.  I think.  Not sure if I did the whole registration process correctly, but I think I'm signed up.

I'll let you know if Sunday the 22nd is good for me or not.  I have to work some Sundays, unfortunately.

Awesome Ed!  I've been destroyed before and still had a lot of fun.  Plus - you'll probably win more than you think as anything can happen.

The good news is with the Yahoo draft you can setup who you want to pick in advance and it will do it automatically for you if you have to miss the draft.

Even if you lose every week, you always have fun in Fantasy Football. It gets you more involved in stats than you ever thought possible.

This link got me back to this website after four years of being gone.  Damn it feels good to come back to a comic book board that once let me write, crappy, reviews for its front page when I was in high school.

If no one else signs up, I can create a dummy team and let it Autopick in the draft if everyone's ok with that.  That way everyone can play.

Title: Re: Hero Realm Fantasy Football League 2010
Post by: Herr Mike on August 22, 2010, 10:01:17 AM
Will the dummy team keep an active roster?

Title: Re: Hero Realm Fantasy Football League 2010
Post by: Jeff on August 22, 2010, 10:05:59 AM
Yes - using only the players it picked up during the autopick.  No trades.  I'll only move people from the bench onto the active roster when someone from the active roster has a bye week or isn't playing b/c of injury.  Then I'll move the original player back to active the next week.

I was unable to sign up (moving has got my home computer in a box somewhere, and I can't access yahoo at work...)

If you need manager for the dummy account, I would be happy to take it.  I should have my access to yahoo by kick off of the first game....

Mike dropped out so we had an even number and didn't need a dummy account.

The phrase under your Hulk pic is the story of last night, Rich. Who wanted it more? That'd be the Redskins. I think that entire team is out to prove something this year. As well as McNabb. Romo's crew, I think, just waltzed into town expecting an easy win.

I dunno what was up with that game last night, the offense for the Cowboys was either just pathetic, or Redskins' D was off the chain.

That and Romo needed to stop jerkin' Dez Bryant off the entire time and look to his vets for the clutch receptions.

There wasn't enough beer in the world to offset how P.O.'d I was last night.

Absolutely pathetic.

You know Romo was infatuated with Bryant when Roy Williams makes an amazing catch as if to say "Hey!! WE CAN CATCH THE BALL!!! WE'RE HERE, TOO!!!" :P

I'd have to say you're right, Sith--the Skins put up a hell of a fight, when you get down to it.  Hopefully McNabb sticks it to the Iggles--they done did him wrong.

Can Drew Brees and the NO defense get me the same number of points as Vernon Davis +3?

I think they can.   ;D

After four weeks the Puppy Punchers are still undefeated!  Congrats!

I thought the Heisenberg Steelers were crazy for playing Brett Favre since he had a bye and got them zero points.  But then I saw that their backup QB was Jay Cutler and he got a whopping -2 points for the weekend!  Man, I've never seen a QB get negative points!

1.   The Puppy Punchers   4-0-0
2.   Menacing Mustaches   3-1-0
3.   Delaware Destroyers   2-2-0
4.   Bellevue Bombers   2-2-0
5.   Sixburgh   2-2-0
6.   Novaforce   1-3-0
7.   The Companions   1-3-0
8.   Heisenberg Steelers   1-3-0

If only I could find some players!   :)

The irony is that I'm 4-1 in my fantasy league at work and currently in 1st place!

To be honest, I'm amazed at my team right now. I guess my strategy of drafting the highest player at each category during each of the first 4 draft rounds paid off.

I hate to say it, but I'm about to drop Hines Ward's worthless arse. However, Big Ben will be back next week, so I'm gonna wait and see if they pick of where they left off.

I would personally like to thank Yahoo! Sports for the following fantasy recommendation, which like a good little lemming, I followed.

McFadden (hamstring) is apparently "70/30" to play in Sunday's game against the Broncos, according to Vittorio Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Recommendation: McFadden's chances of suiting up Sunday look good, but he is still unlikely to see a significant amount of carries until he is back at 100 percent. McFadden should be available if you need him, but it is probably best to use another option if possible.

McFadden only rushed for 165 yards, 31 yards receiving, and 4 touchdowns (3 rushing, 1 receiving).
43 points left on my bench.   >:( >:(

You're welcome, Puppy Punchers.

I just usually go with my gut and the matchups as I've been burned by Yahoo recommendations before.

Puppy Punchers are still looking strong as a whole, but my WR's are shaky.

Yeah, Jeff. I wasn't expecting to come home last night from working the Black Ops midnight launch to find that TO almost single handedly beat Novaforce. I saw the 3 point differential and said....  :o

Good game, though. It's going to be one hell of an interesting Fantasy Playoff this year.

Talk about a wild season. Puppy Punchers own for the first half, then Sixburgh rolls out of nowhere on a hot winning streak to take the top spot. Novaforce ends Six's bid for the finals and Puppy Punchers have it out with Novaforce but ultimately fall to the #4 seed.  :o

What a great season!   8) Congrats, Jeff!
